"The room was absolutely stunning: it had everything I needed, was gigantic but still cosy, the bed was so comfortable I slept like a log. The entire hotel was a work of art itself. Sandra was an incredible host; made me feel very welcome. It isnt terribly central - roughly 25 minute walk to the centre - but that was perfect for me because it was lovely and peaceful, and there are tonnes of public transport options within 3 or 4 minutes walk, plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants within a stones throw. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend Maidon d'Artiste to friends."

"Sandra was very friendly and very quick to respond to emails. The property had lots of history and the room was nice and in keeping with the property. Lovely comfy bed and we slept very well. Walkable distance for us from the centre. There are nice restaurants and a lovely bakery nearby"

"What a hotel experience. I can only recommend this wonderful accommodation to anyone who appreciates art, design and attention to detail. "The insulation was just bad - it was incredibly hot - 25 degrees outside, inside in the room 30 degrees or more. We try to sleep with the windows completely open but it didn‘t get any better. In Winter this might be helpful as the room stays cozy and warm, but in summer without AC it’s not to do. The way to the city centre - 30mins by walk is quite long. We asked to change to another room when amending the booking dates but did get any feedback on that request."
