Entrance is hard to find, I first thought I was in the wrong place.

"The evening meal provided at a very reasonable cost was one of the best I've had in a b&b. All organic salad and vegetables and that was also true of the wonderful breakfasts that are included in the room price. The location was spectacular, amazing views over the valleys below."

"It is very cozy and amazing place. I like not very big hotels with warm attitude from all of stuff. And this hotel is admirable according my choice. Not very big, near old center of the city, quite cheap, very clean and with gorgeous owners. The breakfast is separate song in this story)) It was huge, very tasty and very Georgian. "Located five minutes from the Jesuit ruins, the Posada Maria is a good base for exploring the region. The hotel is very clean and modern and has everything you need for a short stay. The pool is great to cool off on the warm summer days and the breakfast is amazing, a true continental one with delicious bread (hard to come by in South America) and a good variation of products. We had dinner here as well, which was super good as well. German kitchen, but refreshing after our month travelling around! Staff is very kind and friendly and can give tips and advice! When the rain started dripping through the roof into our room, we immediately got another one. Very smooth!"

Staying only one night

"Super friendly staff, Natalija met us at the ferry to take us to Villa Nora Hvar and gave recommendations for what to do and how to get around. The room was spacious and the location was very central."

"Accommodations are simple but very comfortable. Nice swimming pool right out the hotel room door. Short walk to the water. We really enjoyed diving. My 18yr old son got PADI certified. They did an awesome job with him. Nassar was his instructor. He was awesome! Area was very safe."

No complaints. Please understand that tourism is severely impacted by the Gazan war. Many hotels and restaurants are closed and those that are open often are operating in a limited capacity. For example hotel restaurants might not operate at all. This affects all hotels. There were almost no tourists as of November 2025.

Bathroom has mouldy smell, so needs to open window for ventilation. The building doesn’t have elevator, so if you have big luggage, it will be an issue to move your luggage.

Le lit est vraiment ferme, mais les 3 logements de notre séjour étaient comme ça donc j'imagine que c'est classique en Guadeloupe.

The lighting outside the room, in the halls, was not dimmed during the night. The rooms have coloured glass windows/ doors so was difficult for sleeping during the night.

"The host, Andrae was super friendly and helpful, I was able to check in a bit late, he also organised an early morning taxi for me to get to the airport. The location is great, right in the middle of Philipsburg and just minutes walk from the beach. You're surrounded by restaurants and shops. Price was excellent."

Room and amenities are simple, but for this price and location you can't complain.
