"The staff were super friendly and attentive. The gentleman at the reception ( my apologies for not giving his name ) was great and we felt very reassured by his presence and leaving our motorbikes at night. I had a refreshing morning swim in the outdoor pool, accompanied by various species of birds.. Amazing ! Very spacious rooms with the most comfortable king size bed ! Food was excellent , we had evening dinner and superb breakfast. Conveniently located , 30 min from the ferry to Romania with the wonderful view if the Danube river! We'll be back 😄"

"The food and drink in the restaurant, although good, was limited in choice and there were no other cafes / bars or restaurants within several kilometres. But that's not the hotel's fault."

"Staff is friendly and helpful, location is very good - close to the centre and park, but most importantly on the river with the best view! It was so peaceful and recharging - perfect for leisure and business trips. I didn't have lunch or dinner at the hotel, but the breakfast was as always very delicious - like homemade one."

"Situated near the river Danube, the hotel has a splendid view to the nature. The rooms are bigger then as we expected, comfortable and clean. Even if we arrived late, they manage to give us a wonderful and delicious dinner. The beds are good, bathroom clean, the breakfast good, too. The staff was very helpful all the time."

"We received a room upgrade as the hotel was quiet. A balcony overlooking the river was shared with house martins (they eat the mosquitos that you might get on a river). We felt close to nature. We had a giant bed and loads of space in the room, there was a decent cold buffet breakfast and the dining room has excellent river views."

"This is a little off the beaten track and we needed Google Maps to find it. They closed the dining room on the second night but didn't tell us. It's a 15 minute walk into Belene itself, but it was deserted and there were no restaurants open. Luckily we found a husband and wife owned shack that cooked us a pork steak. They had no menus so we used Google Translate to convey our need for food. The wife brought some meat out from the freezer and we picked a couple of pieces. They were great hosts but we couldn't understand a word they said. Unless you speak Bulgarian you need Google to get you through a visit to this area."
