"A very welcoming couple, Jan and Doug, greeted us warmly when we arrived. Our bedroom and bathroom were upstairs - both very spacious and clean with very interesting decor. Breakfast was tasty - French toast, fresh fruit and juice, yoghurt and tea!"

"The room was very comfortable and spacious with a beautiful view of the coast. The hosts Jan and Doug were lovely and gave great advice on activities to do in the area. The breakfasts Jan made were sooo delicious! The best breakfast we’ve had on our trip! Highly recommend staying here."

"I don't have a sweet tooth and so the breakfast of french toast and maple syrup, while exceptional for french toast, was not for me. Location was not great for someone without a vehicle."

"The Canalta Assiniboia is a great value for money spent, and has so many pluses that I would not hesitate to book here again! My elderly aunt, a smoker with limited mobility, was very happy to stay in a room on the main level, which had its own outdoor entrance, so she could slip outside easily at any time to enjoy a puff. She also spent probably 80% of her Assiniboia stay in her hotel room, and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and because she could not get herself up before the end the complementary breakfast, the staff even put aside some treats each day (by request)! The room was clean and well equipped, with a Keurig, a microwave, fridge and pantry area, a bathroom with a shower, a large TV with cable, a desk and office chair, a bench and a lounge chair, along with the two very comfortable queen beds! There is really nothing comparable in Assiniboia, and even if there were, the Canalta would still be our first choice!"

"The staff were really nice. The contentiel breakfast was upscale, harvest crunch for cereal, looked like fresh baking, fruit salad cut fresh, Hard boiled eggs. Fresh flowers They had a single microwave by the ice machine (so much easier for their cleaning staff) Good water pressure Soft beds, good pillows. 2 entrances to the room, outside and interior. Keurig in the room"
