"We LOVED our stay. It was a little slice of paradise. Our bungalow was a great size, and was luxurious. We loved the key code locks as it meant we didn't need to worry about bringing a key to the beach or needing duplicate keys etc. The shared kitchen was perfect, so spacious, well equip and clean. We loved the pool, lovely and shady for the heat of the day. There is even storage for your surf boards rented from else where. There is a cafe just over the road serving food all day. There is also a bar/restaurant right down the road (100m) where you can enjoy sunset, margaritas and even rent surf boards by the day or for a couple of hours."

"The room could have had more drawers or a wardrobe to hang clothes. It also is close to the road which becomes very noisy at around 5:30/6am in the morning. The window curtains don't block the light so this also woke us early in the morning. We used our travel eye masks and ear plugs for the whole stay. (this was not a problem anywhere else in costa rica). It is also a LONG and HOT walk to town, either via the road or the beach, will take you 1 hour. lots of people use quad bikes or motor bikes but the road is so dusty and not paved."

"Backs onto a very noisy main dirt road. Our bungalow had a few deficiencies: hot water not turned on all of the way, shower tap broken and the toilet running. The toilet was fixed right away."

"Really noisy and dusty from the traffic outside. Much more than expected. It’s due to the motorbikes and ATVs driving all the time on non-pavement roads, just outside."

"Incredible place! We loved everything about it. So far the best place we stayed during our 3 week Costa Rica trip. The rooms are incredible. Everything was clean. The kitchen is a huge plus. There are only four bungalows, so it’s very privat. The hosts are very helpful and making sure your stay is as pleasant as possible :)"

"Only small things - it would have been nice if the kitchen had a few spices, oil etc. Surfboards for rental would also be a huge help as there are no rental places nearby."

"Rafa out host was very responsive and helpful! The staff work hard every day to keep the place neat and tidy. The pool was beautiful and very clean. The location was very close to a nice surf break and Rocamar for easy food and drinks."

"The location, while beautiful, was right on the road so there was a lot of traffic noise. The showers in the rooms look lovely, but due to not having doors get water all over the bathroom and can cause some slipping danger."

"We moved from another accommodation to Blue Surf Sanctuary after deciding that we wanted to spend out last week somewhere nicer! This place did not disappoint. Its in a perfect location, and even though its located near the road, I found since its on the north end of the strip, it wasn't too bad and wasn't bothered by any traffic. The room was super spacious, we had the family room, so for just myself and my partner, it was more than enough and utilised the bunk bed for luggage etc. We loved the balcony with the hanging chairs. It was such a relaxed and chill vibe. The location near the beach was also perfect, really just a minute away, Can't beat it. The facilities were great, beautiful and large kitchen with a dining area. The pool area was also really lovely. Our host was also very accommodating, and if there was anything we needed, he was sure to help arrange it. Would love to come back and stay again!"

"Really don't have much to complain about! Its dusty, but that is Santa Teresa."
