"Fitted all my requirements especially proximity to airport(40 minute walk). Reasonable restaurants although not a lot of choice"

"Located a short walk from the centre of Espargos away from the tourist crowds in Santa Maria. Comfortable and clean large room with attached bathroom. Sofa to relax on plus a table with 2 chairs if you want to eat. Kettle and fridge were useful. Also a TV which I didn't try."

"Wifi was patchy. Minimal hot water so had to take a cold shower."

"Comfortable room 5 mins walk from centre. Neared somewhere near to the airport as internal flight not until next day and didn’t want to go to Santa Maria to come back. Filo was very helpful. Walked to salt mine pool from the property for a swim. Walk took an hour"

"Mrs Filó and her son were very friendly and welcomed me. They also gave tips how to better find the accommodation. The room and bathroom were extremly clean. I slept here one night because I would have a flight at the next day. Its proximity to the Sal airport is perfect."

"This place was perfect for me! Being a solo traveller it is very safe and the hosts are amazing, very friendly and helped me with anything I needed. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here and would stay here again! Thank you for everything❤️"

"This accomodation is much better than it looks on the pictures. The room was spacious and clean, and quiet at night. The breakfast was amazing - the best we had in Cabo Verde. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and although the English of most of the stuff is very limited, we always managed to somehow understand each other. David is fluent in English and was very helpful in providing tips for hikes and logistics."

"Casa Familiar Por do Sol is a wondrous accommodation, nestled in a beautiful lush green valley with fantastic views. Margaret and her family were just fantastic, making us feeling like home and cooking for us just crazily good food. Everything was fresh and picked from the garden, we felt welcomed and part of the family immediately. Super recommended!"

"The apartment was very comfortable, everything worked perfectly and there was hot water for showers. The place overall is just very well equipped for beach stays, with a delicious food from the restaurant below and very kind staff. Its a very easy drive to get there in a beautiful location. You can also rent kayaks and stand up paddle."

"The apartment for five was very spacious. Even if we were more than five, there would be plenty of space for more. A completely equipped and functional kitchen allowed us to prepare any meal at any time, plus the short walk to laginha Beach makes the Maya Apartment the best value for the money in Mindelo. On top of that, the host, Mr. Rómulo, was extremely helpful as he went out of his way to get us back an extra night as we lost our flight back home. I truly recommend Maya Apartments"

"The key advantage of this apartment is its location, on a complex with pool, looking over the ocean, with a nice balcony and greenery all round, but right in the middle of everything in Santa Maria. It is perhaps less modern and luxurious than other properties further along the beach, a bit outside the town, but we didn't see anything that would have compared to ours for location and views."
