"The location is great. The hotel is ornate and quaint. You feel you’ve gone back in time. Very 50’s movie scene vibe."
"When I said 50’s, I meant it. Modern facilities it is not. A bit old and in need of repair. If you looking for modern facilities and pristine accomodation, this is not for you."

"Porter and Breakfast stuff are very nice and friendly, the Hotel Manager was a little bit grumpy and did not give a welcoming impression, I would go back just for the porters - nice, friendly and geniune"

"The location was excellent, the hotel was historic with interesting decor. Considering the hotel choices in Cairo, this was a perfect mid-budget hotel which met all my expectations. I stayed on 3 separate times during my travels in Egypt, twice they upgraded me to a Suite at no extra cost. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good - lots of choice of Egyptian and Continental style."
"Everything was good! Whilst you can hear the noise of the traffic/car horns at night, this is true for any hotel in downtown Cairo. I quickly got used to it. If you have trouble sleeping maybe bring ear plugs."
