"Had an amazing stay at Akunamatata and would highly recommend it. The house was clean and spacious and only a few minutes from the Main Street of Grand Case and the beach. The kitchen had everything you needed while away. The outdoor area was relaxing and the bed very comfortable. Although we were sharing the house with other people it was a perfect place to stay. Thank you to Jamal for being so accommodating!"

No communal areas. The kitchen was tiny and no where sit and eat. There is a small space in the top floor to make a cup of tea but not suitable to eat and not near the kitchen. The shared bathroom shower is too complicated, the water sprays out of all the taps and was cold

La cama es un poco incomoda y la habitación bastante calurosa para el verano pero hay un ventilador.

Intermittent electricity due to poor infrastructure in Mount Hagen. The room is outside off a veranda so when it rains and the wind blows you might also get wet when going inside to use the toilet. I would have preferred a firmer mattress and slightly larger room.

L’histoire de la maison comble le reste. C’est tout simplement un musée vivant , qu’on ne peut pas oublié. Aucun compliment peut exprimer notre joie ici. "We had such a lovely time at Nena House with Francoise as a welcoming hostess for our travel group of 4 adults and 6 kids (9-16). Being in touch with Francoise while planning the trip was very pleasant and professional. It was very nice she checked out dinner plans on the day we arrived before hand. The traditional houses are a delight, clean and with mosquito nets. The facilities are basic, and fine. The neighbor bar is nice for some festive vibes and a drink. The food is delicious. Eating breakfast in the garden with the beautiful view on the Rwandan hills is like paradise. Francoise is very kind in informing about local walks and in our case we where lucky enough to be there while there was a yearly harvest festival. She offered to go with us. We will never forget the experience of seeing the ceremony and traditional dancing and meeting some people in the village. If you plan a visit or are traveling through Ruhashia (near Kings Palace) we can highly recommend Nenas house!"

The road towards the accommodation may be a challenge for light weight cars, but -definitely with 4 wheel drives- if you take it easy it is doable and worth it!

"The place was very comfortable and warm. We were greeted by a friendly older couple. The view from the apartment was pretty, featuring trees, mountains, and snow."

The place was clean, but it felt like there was room for improvement. Additionally, cars with low ground clearance would need to be parked approximately 100 meters away.

"Cozy little town, quiet and pitoresk. Gasthaus Emmi is located central in the town, but still has a beautiful location with an open field behind. Great garden with swimmingpool, playground for kids, rabbits and hens. Breakfast very good, local products and fresh eggs. Clean rooms."

Not new interior, but original, well taken care of and clean.

"The personal attention of the wonderful owner stood out for us. He went out of his way to collect us from the ferry and take us to the airport the next day. He provided us with a fabulous breakfast too - the best we’ve had over our whole trip. We loved meeting him and talking to him."
