"A new and clean apartment with everything we need. There is even a small balcony."

"Communication by the host was very good. The studio is an annex to a house located in a nice residential area of Akuyreri. There is parking just in front. The studio is very comfortable, clean, well organized with a nice design. Great sleep! We could cook and wash clothes as well (a reason for choosing it). The equipment in the studio is high tech (great induction electric stove). Disney Plus available (and probably Netflix as well if you ask the owner to insert the password, which we did not). The selection of teas is also high quality. There is also a pleasant terrace with a view. Good hub for visiting surroundings, one of the best accommodations we had in Iceland."

"The facilities were compact, bright, clean and cosy and had everything we needed. The view across the fjord was very nice. Unfortunately, the weather was not very good. Otherwise we could have made more use of the balcony and the facilities thereon."

"If this property is available,consider yourself lucky and book it without hesitation. It’s perfect for a couple and is centrally located, is equipped with very modern appliances and has a large bathroom. The small balcony has a great view and the hosts Sara and her Husband are wonderful, we had a issue with our car bumper and upon requesting for some help fixing it, they immediately came with tape and helped to secure it."

"Skálatjörn Guesthouse exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The guesthouse is set in a beautiful rural location, surrounded by stunning views – on a clear day, you can even spot glaciers on the horizon. It is the perfect base to explore South Iceland. Our room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We especially appreciated the small details: everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. What truly stands out is the hospitality. The hosts are incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to share advice or local insights. A very special highlight were the rare Icelandic goats that live on the property – gentle, curious animals that guests can visit daily. They are very friendly and love to be petted, which made our stay feel even more unique and memorable. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland."

"Very good location near the main shopping street, the church and the museums, plus close to the port/sea. The breakfast was fab, you sit together with the other guests and have a big selection of breakfast items (cereal, yoghurt, berries, nuts and seeds, eggs etc), including Icelandic specialties such as flatbread, rye bread made with syrup, and smoked lamb. Our host also made bread and cakes daily which were really special. Our host Steinunn was so helpful and friendly. She gave us great tips on what to do and how to get there, plus she's a great baker :) The room was really sweet and cosy, a four poster style built in bed. The bathroom had a great shower. Everything was spotless. The bed was comfy and the room was warm - underfloor heating kept us toastie - we were there in March but they had deep snow and blizzards. The breakfast room and living room were beautifully decorated and furnished with lots of books and guides."

"Eaglerock guest house will forever be in our hearts. We visited for two nights on our on the road trip as a group of 10. The house has been recently renovated and everything was perfect and neatly cleaned. We loved the interior design, the living room with huge windows, the back patio. We saw our first Aurora here. It was magical. Bjorn was a super responsive host and helped us with his suggestions on how to hunt for norther lights. Thank you again!"
