"The hostel is quite spacious, actually more of a guesthouse. There is a large comfortable dining room. The owners Janyl and his wife are very welcoming and speak good English. There is a supermarket 100m away. The dorm has 2 bathrooms that are not shared with other guests."

"The kitchen is shared with the family and it can probably be very busy in the high season. There are no lockers in the dorm, or any other furniture apart from beds and one small table."

The lady running it was incredibly kind: we had to rush out for a tour and she even helped us by hanging up all our laundry to dry. Such a thoughtful gesture that really made the difference. The rooms and common areas are clean, the location is convenient, and the overall atmosphere feels warm and homely. A great base for exploring Karakol and the surroundings."

"Great value for money hostel! The owners are passionate about hospitality and making sure their guests are happy. They managed to book a private yurt for us in a valley 15 km away, only one day in advance, while everything was sold out online! People with a good heart and good connections, you see and feel it. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel, it’s a very value for money hostel. You can leave bags for a few days when hiking in the area, free of charge. Tea for free all day. Can even use the kitchen. Great atmosphere"
