"Great rooms, good aircon, good location although it is a 10-minute walk to the bars and nightlife. Nice views of the river. Mama Pieng is a funny character that I enjoyed talking to."

"Mama pieng was so lovely! I love her and would definitely come back here just to see her. The room was good. There's also a restaurant which is good although a bit expensive. Location was perfect, a bit outside of the main city on Dondet. We rented bikes which were not in the best conditions but worked perfectly for the day."

"Mamapiang could not have been more friendly and enthusiastic! We also hired bikes from here for the afternoon. Our stay was great! - just a shame we couldn’t have stayed longer."

"My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at this place. The room was nice - comfortable bed and hot shower, and we were able to get good coffee, beer lao and breakfast onsite. We hired bicycles at a ŕeasonable price, and they were in good condition. They also do a great sunset boat trip at a good price. possibly the best part of our stay though, was the hosts themselves. Mama Piang is a loud, extrovert, friendly and jolly lady who puts a smile on people's faces. Her company was an absolute pleasure and we had many laughs together. Her husband, mother and niece were lovely people too. I love Don Det, and next time I go I'll definitely choose Mama Piang's."

"The only thing I didn't like was the staircase leading to the upper rooms. It is very steep, but maybe not a problem for fitter people than me"

"Notre séjour chez Mama Pieng était super ! Merci pour cette accueil ! Mama Pieng est super joviale et une bonne cuisinière nous y avons testé le pumpkin burger qui était trop bon ! On peut louer des vélos sur place grand plus pour faire le tour de l’île et se balader sur Don Khon."
