"Exceptional environment, well-kept, among the trees, calm, peaceful. The cottages are built in such a way that they have a pleasant temperature without air conditioning or fans. At night, for the first time in Gambia, I had to cover myself with a duvet. The owner and staff were extremely kind, accommodating, unobtrusive."

"We spent a few days in spacious bungalows. We were picked up by taxi from the airport and quickly arrived at our accommodation, where Cynthia was waiting for us. Cynthia provided us with detailed information about the property (water, safety, etc.) and shared interesting facts about the area (shops, restaurants, and the beach). The bungalows have a well-equipped kitchenette and a large terrace, from which we could admire the starry sky in the evenings. In the morning, we were served a delicious breakfast, including homemade yogurt and jam. The morning conversations with Cynthia during breakfast were wonderful. The guesthouse also offered free rental of easy-to-use bicycles. We have fond memories of our lazy days on the atoll, and we highly recommend this guesthouse."

The guesthouse is no longer the newest, but that's why it has its own atmosphere.

Possibly a bit overpriced for the very basic accomodation.

"ВСЕ!!! 10 дней, которые мы были в отеле, были окружены заботой, теплом, вниманием и помощью персонала по всем вопросам (включая практически невозможный обмен авиабилетов из Янгона в Бангкок не выходя из отеля) Пляж - просто прекрасен. Да, на нем нет удобств (кроме лежаков около отеля), но и отдыхающих, в общем-то, тоже нет. И 1,5 км пустынного пляжа в твоем полном распоряжении каждый день - что может быть лучше... Еда в ресторане не блещет разнообразием, но ОЧЕНЬ достойная. Морепродукты, естественно, свежайшие, каждый день! Отдельные слова благодарности хозяйке! За почти 30 лет путешествий по миру было очень немного мест, где хозяин лично встречает и провожает гостей, и каждый день интересуется настроением и возможными вопросами к проживанию. Если будет возможность - непременно стоит сюда приехать!!!"

"The location was great with amazing views of the mountains, and located next to the river. The cabana was comfortable, warm, with everything we needed. The staff was super helpful."

We loved everything, it is rustic in a lovely way, fits with the environment you are in. Great value for the location.

"It was quirky and a lovely cosy space to base ourselves. Very close to the airport and next to the harbour in the town. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The loft bed was something different too and cosy and comfortable. The owner was great and friendly. We had absolutely no issues and hope to go again someday."

Water heater present, but no warm water in the shower or bath. Bath didn't drain.

"Great location at the South side of Song Kul lake. Breakfast was tasty and plenty. You can also get (packed) lunches and dinner. Phone reception is good and you can charge your phone in the evening in the main yurt. Stayed for two nights there. So peaceful and relaxing. Loved it!"

"This property was tucked away in the rain forest. Alejandro was exceptional, his knowledge of nature and the beneficial properties of plants from his garden which he had specifically grown was like having a professor with us all the time. He and His wife Christiana also incorporated some of the fruit and vegetables into our stunning breakfasts which were freshly prepared each morning.. Alejandro was incredibly helpful booking restaurants. He always greeted us with a smile and was a perfect host. We felt perfectly relaxed by the end of the stay."

Would have liked more light, and water pressure but to be honest we didn’t mention it to him so he could fix it.

The highlights are the 2-3 times daily excursions which really make the high cost absolutely worth it. Our guide, Alfredo, was amazing, bi-lingual, sensitive to the local environment and even played the guitar over dinner and breakfast!"

Only downside really is the fact that there is only 1 included boat time to the lodge and back from Iquitos. We had to pay $180 extra for a personal boat because LatAm airlines brought our flight forward - not the lodge's fault, but something to look out for.

The log cabin accommodation was warm, comfortable and beautifully unique in the attention to detail, artistically designed carved wood, stretched leather, fur chair and stone framed mirror. Husky ride was fun learning about their training from friendly staff. Highly recommended for a comfortable and unique experience."

Couldn’t improve this stay it was excellent. Just wish I could have stayed longer.

"Location was close to the parks gate The staff were helpful and professional. The breakfast and dinner were extensive. I was offered alternatives due to dietary requirements. There was nothing missing in the buffet and a very helpful chef. The lodge was comfortable and exceptionally clean I would recommend Sossusvlei Lodge to family and friends"

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at SLodge.

"Nice forest hut on the edge of a forest - 10 min to a beach by foot. You are really almost in the middle of nature here. The forest was full of blackberries when we were there. The kitchenette corner is smallish but sufficient to make a meal for a family of four."

It may be a bit challenging to find the right road leading to the house, but we managed. Go past the road leading to the two storey apartment houses, and turn to the left of the warehouse-like structure which is further on the road.
