"The staff were great. LJ who is the resident mechanic was outstanding and repaired our broken bonnet hinges in no time and done well. He certainly is an asset to the lodge ad he must have to repair many guests vehicles due to the extremely corrugated gravel roads in that area."

"We booked into a lovely self catering unit but had no crockery and cutlery in yhe unit. Apparently we were meant to be told by the receptionist to collect these from reception, but we were never told about this. There should be a sign in the self catering units to inform guests about this arrangement. Fortunately we survived as we had everything that we needed as we had been camping."

"The staff were attentive and hospitable. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, offering a good variety of foods. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, and the air conditioner was highly effective for escaping the desert heat. The mosquito nets over the beds were a thoughtful and appreciated touch."

"While the lodge is situated in a beautifully remote location, there were several aspects that could be improved. Drinking water was not provided with dinner, which was inconvenient given the isolation of the lodge and made guests feel pressured to purchase beverages. In-room tea and coffee-making facilities would be a valuable addition. Wi-Fi was only available in the common area, where mosquitoes were plentiful, making it uncomfortable to use. Additionally, the pathway from the common lounge to the rooms was extremely dark at night and not paved, which made walking back to the room challenging."

"I was fascinated by this lodge. It has warm and cosy atmosphere. The food was so delicious, the bar was a meeting point with people living there. The staff at dinner did some dancing and singing and it was so touching and genuine. They had a great organization that allows you to leave early for the daily activities. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable."

"We received a lovely welcome after an arduous drive to get to Hammerstein. The room was good as were the dining and bar areas. The staff were really attentive. All in all a splendid place to stay."
