"My stay at Villa Veertien was nothing short of extraordinary. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with stunning views from the deck where I enjoyed my breakfast each morning. The sunshine filtering through without being too harsh added a perfect touch of warmth, making it an idyllic start to the day. The villa’s location is steeped in history, situated right by the river with its charming tobacco room—a nod to its trading past. Watching the barges pass by was a delightful experience, adding a touch of nostalgia and vibrancy to the mornings. Another highlight was the ‘pony’, a little ferry that shuttles cyclists and cars back and forth across the river to Dieren, right in front of the villa—absolutely charming to watch. The gardens are beautifully kept, and the whole atmosphere of the place is peaceful and inspiring."
"If parking is important to you, I recommend arranging it in advance if possible, as parking in that part of Dieren can be quite limited. If the villa isn’t fully booked, you may be able to secure a spot nearby. Otherwise, be prepared for a bit of a walk—which, to be fair, is quite scenic"

The facilities are of the highest quality, with every detail seems to have been carefully considered, creating a truly enjoyable experience. My room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was super comfortable. It was immaculately clean and quiet. The team at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The views from Villa Veertien offer stunning panoramas of the IJssel River and the serene countryside. Watching the shipping traffic glide along the river from the comfort of my room was unique. The wide windows framed the picturesque scenes of the river, with fields stretching peacefully into the distance."
