Hotel Catedral

"The location was excellent. Right next to the Cathedral (the Se). Three minutes from the seafront and the marina. Two minutes from five decent restaurants. Fifteen minutes from the bus stops that take you to the two iconic gardens - Monte Palace and Jardim Botanico. The decor was mid- century modern, lots of beautiful wood and an amazing central staircase. The breakfasts were good with fruit, yoghurts, scrambled eggs and bacon, lots of different breads and good coffee. The room was kept clean and tidied every day. It was a very good size. There is a communal lounge upstairs with a view of the sea and the cruise ships. Friendly staff. The taxi transfer from the airport (and back again at the end of the holiday) was friendly and efficient and in my opinion good value for money."

"Great location — the hotel is right in the very center of the city. The room is simple but clean and comfortable: cozy beds, a large mirror, and a lovely balcony. Special thanks to the staff: they checked us in a few hours earlier than expected and kindly served us breakfast before the official time on the day of our departure. Excellent service and very attentive staff. Very good value for money."

"The only small remark is that the wallpaper could use a refresh and the interior feels a little dated, but overall everything was pleasant and well maintained."

"Excellent, central location opposite the Cathedral. The staff were helpful and friendly, for example, they were very happy to look after our bags until check-in. The check-out time of 12.00am is also a benefit."
