"We had a big room with a view to the ocean. The staff was outstanding: always friendly and trying to help, though there were occasional language barriers. The hotel lends bicycles to their guests so we could get around Hualien without relying on the spotty public transport. The place is 5 minutes on foot to the night market with tons of interesting dining options. Breakfast buffet was also very good with several western choices. All in all, our best hotel in Taiwan."
