"Large airy rooms with the traditional 4m high ceilings. The beds are large, comfortable, and have mosquito nets. Air conditioning units and ceiling fans work well for a comfortable night’s sleep in typical temperatures for Stonetown. The dining room upstairs has a great relaxing feel where you can sit and read during the heat of midday. Staff are great and will always try to help you. The location is a straight 10 minute run from the airport - easy to find and it’s right in the historic part of town. Take a torch for the inevitable power outage times (that’s just normal for Zanzibar)!"

"Such good value for Stonetown! Beautiful old building with a very friendly manager. The first place in Zanzibar where the WiFi and AC and power didn’t cut out! Great breakfast too. Simple rooms, but what more could you want for the price. Nice communal area upstairs to chill in too. Would definitely recommend"

"Nicely decorated common areas/rooms. Best breakfast in Tanzania so far (pancake + omelet, lots of fruits, avocado, toast, good coffee). Friendly and helpful owner and ladies that cook/clean. Great aircon. Clean bathroom with hot water! Felt same"
"The place is a bit rundown and could use some maintenance/renewal (paint peeling of, leaving dust etc on the floors, mattress was quite old and had grooves/depressions in leaving me with some back pain, holes in the mosquito nets)"

"Veramente favoloso! La posizione è perfetta per raggiungere il nyerere National park. Il proprietario è gentilissimo e molto disponibile, ha organizzato per noi la visita al parco. Anche lo staff è preparato e gentilissimo. Lavorano al campo anche dei Masai che ti accompagnao la sera in camera e ti aiutano con le valige. La struttura affaccia direttamente sul fiume in una posizione sicura e rialzata e da qui si può organizzare un safari in barca della durata di circa due ore in cui si possono vedere coccodrilli, vari tipi di uccelli e ippopotami. La vista dalla camera è dalla zona comune è spettacolare. La camera è pulita e spaziosa e con una vista meravigliosa. Ulteriore nota positiva è il cibo, cucinato internamente sul fuoco e veramente buonissimo. Ogni dettaglio del campo, dagli alloggi alla cucina, è curato e garantisce un'esperienza immersiva. Riassumendo....meraviglioso e fortemente consigliato."
