"The design of the bathroom was poor. The hooks for hanging your dressing gown and the towel rail were in the shower almost under the rain shower head, so they would have got soaked and there was nowhere else to hang your towel near the shower. There were no facecloths in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, but there was only a duvet, no top sheet. the weather was hot and so the duvet was not an option. The mosquitoes were insistent but there was no mosquito oven or anything like that. Under the rules for 4 star rating in RSA, this hotel did not meet the requirement."

"The view of the valley from our room was exceptional. We loved the peace and quiet here. The restaurant served excellent food and the portions were always far too big for us! The gardens and the pool below the hotel were a peaceful place to pass the time. The hotel is also very close to central Stellenbosch (with a car). We have already booked again."

"Beautiful views of the Devon Valley, with close proximity to the Stellenbosch restaurants and wine farms. This is our 2nd visit and the staff remembered us and greeted my family with arms wide open. Recommend the double garden rooms as they are spacious. Made a last minute Sunday lunch booking for our family visiting from Australia, and they were more than happy to accommodate the large group."
