"I loved the building itself, and the decor. Rooms very tastefully furnished, with comfortable bed covers, polished floors. Lovely garden area, some really cute animals and pets - donkeys, rabbit, dog. Lovely view of the lake - which I also had from my window."

"My room was very clean, comfy bed for me, andincredible view of the lake & sunrise. They have a rabbit, dog, cats and donkeys! Breakfast was okay: fried egg, bread, jam, margarine, juice & 1 coffee/tea. Bedside lights were appreciated! A further 10-15 minutes uphill you will find restaurants that are open and amazing views/sunsets."

"They possibly need to update their "facilities " on booking.com: there were no towels or toiletries, no clothes rack or hooks, and not all rooms are on the ground floor. It says it is a restaurant too, but there was nothing to suggest it was other than serving breakfast to their guests. E.g. No menus or tables set. Cushions on the metal chairs in the garden all day and parasols would make it much more comfortable a place to sit in. ( I was there 3 nights). I asked for a second coffee at breakfast and was charged for it!!"

"Very nice location with beautiful morning sunrise views. The mountains across the lake are gorgeous on a clear day. There are outdoor tables with a view. The breakfast in the morning was good, a fried egg, jam, margarine & fresh bread - with a coffee and juice. The room was really nice, we booked a shared bathroom online but none were available when we arrived, so we were offered the private bathroom. Hot shower, comfortable and warm bed, 2 bedside tables and lamps - large windows for airflow."

"Upon paying for the accomodation we thought the price was 310 BOBS for two nights (based on booking.com price), however we were told the room was actually 450 BOBS. We explained we didn’t understand why and they were friendly about it so we landed somewhere in the middle, but just don’t expect the booking price to match the check out price! Or ask for price up front I suppose. Otherwise, a super lovely place to stay, and we highly recommend :)"

"Run by a local family, very clean, good sized room and good breakfast.  We also ate an evening meal here, very reasonably priced.  The lady was very helpful with advise on Island walks and the best places to swim."

"Lovely owners - there was a problem with our room just before we arrived so they moved us to another with a lovely view. The view from the seating area is beautiful, with the lake and mountains in the background. There was a limited selection of food as you'd expect on this quiet island, but it was tasty. The bed was comfortable and had a very hot shower, which is good as it gets cold in the evenings at that altitude."

"I had a great stay here for 2 nights, the location was perfect not too far up the hill (which was intense) but also close enough to walk further up for restaurants etc. I came from hiking potosi and needed laundry done and the family was so kind and offered to wash by hand for a small fee which was amazing! Rooms was wonderful and comfortable and the ground was amazing, the view was the best part. They had a rabbit, puppy, cats and some donkeys which I was obsessed with! Couldn’t recommend enough if you’re staying in Isla del Sol. The hostel also took card which was amazing!"

"I stayed in a room with a double bed and the most amazing view, it was very clean and the bed was comfortable with many blankets, needed during the night. The owners were very kind and helpful. Beautiful garden with a view to the endless blue of the lake and friendly animals. Good breakfast and other meals available. Would totally stay here again!"
