"It has been a pleasure to stay with this family. They are so friendly and easy to talk with. Excellent breakfast (maybe to big) that make you ready for a whole day of adventure. Located in walking distance from the airport with the landing strip just outside the window - it is not a problem with only one/two flight per day."

Maybe the dirt road from the main road to the house. It needed a little repair. And the steap concrete part where the dirt road start can be slippery if it has rained - take care.

Property being off the main road allowed a nice quiet stay but it became less convenient to find taxis, go to the beach and arrive to the property off the bus. Would've been good to have a taxi number that we could call easily.

"We had a brilliant and authentic Fijian experience at Mai Makare. The food was brilliant and catered for my partner’s allergies. The activities were truly amazing and the highlight of our trip to Fiji. The whole family was very friendly and welcoming. Not to mention the tropical paradise and beach right outside the homestay."

As a British couple we did find it hot during the night. However, Oppa provided us with a fan that worked throughout the nights!
