"My husband and I explored Savusavu as part of our “baby-moon” trip and staying at Gingerbread added to the special feeling of the island. It is right by Splitrock snorkeling site and a small walking beach, surrounded by a lush garden and one can enjoy the ocean view while sipping coffee on the porch. It is also right by the town, so one does not feel too isolated. The place is so functional - with plenty of seating, a small kitchen and a good comfortable bed. I loved the shower too - you can hear the birds chirping and it has a big window. Jan made us feel very welcomed and comfortable and shared useful tips on the nearby sites, places to visit and dine at. We will definitely stay here again once back."

"There is nothing we did not like at Gingerbread, but if you are an all-inclusive-resort person, this place might not be a good fit for you. Although everything is close, you still definitely need a car to get around the island, so if you do not drive - you might find it challenging arranging your visits from Gingerbread."
