"Had an amazing stay at Akunamatata and would highly recommend it. The house was clean and spacious and only a few minutes from the Main Street of Grand Case and the beach. The kitchen had everything you needed while away. The outdoor area was relaxing and the bed very comfortable. Although we were sharing the house with other people it was a perfect place to stay. It's noisy in the morning. It may not be comfortable for the guys who like to sleep for a long time in the high season. Also, our apartment has a separate balcony from the other room, so if your neighbors like to smoke in the morning, you will feel that as well. But if you are an early bird, this pearl is for you.

"The place is not a 5-star guest house, and I was pleasantly surprised by the way I was treated. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, and the facilities were better than some of the hotels I have stayed in across Africa. My bed was even a TV bed — I connected my MP3 player and listened to music through the bed speakers… great experience! The location is excellent, with the airport just a stone’s throw away. The staff even went out to buy takeaway food for me when I requested it, which I really appreciated. I do wish they had WiFi, but I understand they may be keeping their costs down. However, I was given a pre-loaded SIM card to make calls to my family, which was a thoughtful gesture."

Essayer de voir avec Google Map la problématique de la direction GPS qui n'est pas la bonne... Merci à l'hôte qui, devant mon désespoir, est venu à ma rencontre ! Cette remarque ne remet nullement en cause la qualité de l'hébergement.

"Rooms are spread over several terraces with lots of flowers. We were on the top and had a great view. Being at elevation, it's nice and cool at night. No fans needed. Great new showers with good hot water. They have a pump system through which there is still water when the power is out. A generator is turned on if there is a power cut in the morning or evening. The restaurant is very good. During lunch it is particularly well visited. For breakfast and dinner it's primarily hotel guests. Great breakfast with lots of fruits and good bread. Dinner was a daily changing dish by a daily rotating local chef. Large parking lot. Nearby attractions are Monte Café and Cascata de São Nicolau."

We arrived right on the day of a big storm which primarily hit the highlands. For the next few days CST, the telephone company, was everywhere fixing lines. There was no wifi for the whole two days we were at the hotel. It is possible that this was a consequence of the storm. We made it work with mobile data. The hotel sells credits if you have a CST Sim card.

Měli jsme to trochu dál od Velké pláže a začátek Velké pláže je přeplněný turisty, tak jsme museli každý den jezdit autem. Ke starému městu také daleko. Ale bylo to blízko k hezké skalnaté části a živé ulici na začátku Velké pláže. V ubytování mne překvapila společná kuchyň, ale nakonec jsme si zvykli a byla možnost poznat i naše sousedy, hehe. 👍🏻

The apartment was renovated and clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, the security is very high and the personnel was also super amicable!!🤍🤍🤍 It's quiet and is situated in a safe area - you can walk alone even at night there. The rooms are quite spacious and have enough sockets and furniture. There are a couple of stores around and even a local eatery with tasty food. The owner was ready to help with any questions and was super friendly too. Totally recommended!! 🫶🏼💕"

"Well kept clean house. The owner tried really hard to reach Western standard of living (limited by being in the Solomons of course). Solar hot water, large fridge/freezer of 300L plus. 24 hour electricity. No aircon but the house is extremely well ventilated. Open plan big kitchen, 4 burner gas hob, huge lounge with modern couches. 2 rooms + 1 bathroom on each side of the lounge, so totally 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Rooms are spacious, clean. Hot water shower! I wish I could share photos but booking.com doesn't have upload button."

1. The cost is per person, not per room, but somehow not clearly displayed on booking.com. 2. This is an isolated house on the water edge, private and peaceful, but 40min walking through muddy path to get to seghe town/Airport although a boat transfer is only 5min. You need to bring all your food in and cook during your stay. 3. You need to enquire about the boat transfer cost, to be clear what trips are included, and what are not, otherwise you will have surprise bill in the end. 4. The water pump stopped during my 2 showers, someone needed to run downstairs to restart the pump so I could finish my showers. 5. There is no mirror in the entire house, and no towel rails in either bathroom. Maybe the owner can install them?

"absolutely top ', nice and kind is the owner. We were absolutely excited by breakfast - everything was fresh and homemade and we got the stories about all products which were used. We loved it and we will come with pleasure again. We can only recommended. and like a bonus, we can stay with our small dog, what was the first time in the existence of this hotel. Thank you again. "We had an amazing stay! The hosts Kristina and Kozma and their cute little dog were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. They even shared the tastiest fresh tomatoes from their garden. The balcony had a gorgeous view over the sea, and they were kind enough to give us a ride back to Vlora. Honestly, such lovely people – highly recommend!"

The only drawback was the heater kept switching off & I had to get the staff to turn it on a few times

THE TOILET IS IN THE ROOM. there is room for a door, but not a door. There is no privacy. It’s overlooking a car park. It’s super noisy. No cleaning or refreshing the room during your stay. Told us the front desk closed at 5.30pm late morning of the day we were due to arrive.
