"The hotel is located right in the city center, next to a tram stop and the Marmaray line. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the ferry terminal, with ferries departing for the Asian side of Istanbul. The rooms are small but comfortable, cozy, and very clean. The staff is incredibly kind and always ready to help. Thanks to their transportation tips, I saved a lot of money traveling around the city. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, but there are plenty of amazing restaurants nearby."

"We were very happy we stayed in Arum during the season's end.The atmosphere was verry relaxed, no fuss, no crouds. The hotel is first rate in every aspect: accommodation, personnell, premises... and the food was best ever. The selection was unbeievable as was the taste. Also unbelievable was the hamam treatment, value of every penny spent. I can strongly recommend Arum barut. You will have a truly wonderful break at the hotel."

The level of service is excellent — even during the low season, when occupancy was lower, the staff remained attentive, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our stay most enjoyable. "We stayed for two nights and had a great stay. The lady host, sorry didn't ask your name, is super nice and caring, though we don't speak Turkish and she doesn't speak English, the communication was great 😃 the house is very nice, with wooden ceiling, rooms are basic, but clean and comfy. The best thing was breakfast, it was our best breakfast in Turkey, plentiful and with lots of homemade things and vegetable and fruit from the garden. The guest house is 2 minutes walking from the old market, there are several restaurants and bars to have beer nearby."
