Taroko Bay B&B

"Our stay at Taroko B&B was great. It is just outside of Taroko Gorge with a nice ocean view. Keep in mind that you cannot swim at this location, but the view is lovely. The owners were friendly and accommodating. They did our laundry for free, which was wonderful. We had a room on the 3rd floor (walkup only) with a huge deck. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and watching the ocean. Our room was clean and large. The AC worked great. The water pressure was nice. Breakfast was delicious. We were there when the earthquate struck and the building held up well with no damage. The owners helped make a stressful situation better. If you are staying at this location it is good to have a vehicle, as there is not a lot to see or do in the town. We ended up driving to Hualien for dinner."

"No complaints, just you may feel a little isolated in this part of town without a vehicle. I would definitely stay there again. Also - the owner wanted cash for the room. That wasn't a problem, we just weren't aware of that prior to arriving. We were able to pay him the next morning once we went to an ATM."

"A beautiful quiet house with spacious, clean rooms and toilet. Great Seaview, can see stars and sunrise. Awesome hospitality. The host helped carry the luggages up since there is no lift."

"What did I like? Everything! I was picked up from the station by Johnny and taken to their beautiful house. The spotlessly clean room is huge with a big comfy round bed. The view of the Pacific from the room is s beautiful and you can walk along the sea wall. I was served a great western style+fruit breakfast which lasted me most of the day Finally, they stored my luggage while I went to Taroko Gorge and brought it to the station for me. (After helping me buy train tickets and taking me to the Taroko Park base). Then they asked if there was anything else that they could do for me!!! Worth the price as the experience was completely stress free."

"The location is superb. Sea and mountain view. Near to Taroko gorge. We had a flat tyre. The hosts helped us with everything! They are so helpful and nice. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms super clean."

"This was a lovely Bed and Breakfast at the shore. We were there in winter, so it wasn't a jump in the water time. But a nice space for the whole family to hang out in. The rooms are big, with great balconies that I expect are fantastic in summer. We were out there anyway because we loved the sound of the waves. Breakfast was nice, we all sat at a long table and got to interact with the hosts, which we enjoyed. And it was an easy drive to Taroko Gorge, which was perfect for us as we wanted to spend the day there."

"I wouldn't say I didn't like it, but the decorations reminded me of suburban homes in the US in the 2000s. Actually, a lot like my sister's house. Not my vibe but also very comfortable. So it's definitely a "your mileage may vary" place. I'm more austere in my decorating tastes. But again, not a diss on the place, just a description."
