"Our stay on the Yathra Houseboat will always stay in our minds and hearts. This is our second time within 3 years. We had a vacation of our life with all the comfort and pampering by the staff on the boat. The cruise on the river provided rare glimpse of few exotic birds and a large group of monkeys. The narrations by the Manager of the Dedduwa Boat House about those birds were very informative. The Skipper was kind enough to stop along the river bank to watch the birds closely and take photographs. The candle-lit dinner and the night spend on the upper deck was simply magical. The next day my husband even managed catch some fish while cruising. The staff arranged them to be prepared for our lunch and that dish was out of this world. The staff went an extra mile to make us happy. The bedrooms and the facilities on board were above standard. This is the best destination we spend while in Sri Lanka. Keep it up Yathra and we will back again next year."

"Vlora's coat is so beautiful! I was amazed by the blue waters and the diversity. This trip is totally worth it . I am so glad we decided to do it. Make sure to have something extra to wear thought because the sea breeze is no joke. Had a great time with the host who was so friendly. He brought us some delicious home made snacks as well. "Helpful and friendly staff. Good place to chill, sauna was good. It was windy days, so some noise was, but atmosphere was better :) Here also you can take a boat ride on the lake"

"I have just spent the most amazing 3 nights on the Grand Swan, one of 3 beautiful 5 Star Houseboats in this small group, located in a great position on Lake Dal. The rooms are very well presented and very comfortable. The food is freshly prepared and very tasty. The chef made sure the food was to my liking, and there was plenty of it, The staff went above and beyond to make sure i got the most out of my short stay. Mr Ahmed the manager arranged some trips for me including a not to be missed tour of the lake. A special thanks to Mr Shabam, who did everything from bringing me coffee in the morning to accompanying me on a magical trip to the mountains, where his local knowledge and friends made this a trip I will never forget and got to meet the local people. I can highly recommend staying here whether you are travelling by yourself, with friends or with family. I am already planning my return"
